Sailing through the sea of crisis
We reflected on those four years and found out that the term “Crisis” pretty much said it all. From the “Greek Crisis” or “Euro Crisis”, the “Covid Crisis” to the war in Ukraine, the inflation, or more recently Tempi’s train crash or the earthquake in Turkey and Syria. We are surrounded by a sea of crisis.
On the moon there is a place called “Mare Crisium”, a lunar mare located just northeast of Mare Tranquillitatis. According to the moon's cartography, if we headed southwest for a while, eventually we would find the Sea of Tranquility. For now though, we are stuck in Mare Crisium, trying our best not to drown.
To help us stay afloat, we invited London-based visual artist Francis Olvez-Wilshaw.
